Mother's Day Tea at Pre-school!!
I felt so SPECIAL!! Thank you Seth and Clyde! (for those of you without the Mommy know how...Clyde is in the Gardiner T-shirt, Seth the transformer!)

When we went to pick up Jackson from the Tueller's house..this is what we found...sound asleep. The only thing that kept him from going all the way under was the food storage under the bed! I had to wake him for his Dr's appointment right then and found that he had burst his other ear drum...poor baby!

The hard part of the trip was #1 a sick baby. Jackson had been throwing up for 3 days before we left. My thinking in taking him was, "How long can it last? He'll feel better soon." Well, he didn't... I finally called my Aunt (a pediatric nurse practitioner for the last 50 years) and listed his symptoms, 6 days of him keeping nothing down at all, falling over, chapped bleeding lips, red chapped cheeks, no pee pee diapers in a 24 hour period...to which she replied, "Take him to the ER now and get him hydrated!"...so we DID!

Thank Heaven for Modern Medicine!

Utah...again

We went on a "quick trip" to Utah to our cousin Eric's farewell. Coming from the triple digits in AZ we were in NO WAY prepared for Utah Spring! We had to purchase Jackets (2 sizes too big so we could use them again next year)...

...and shoes (we needed those for soccer anyway) the sandals were NOT cutting the mustard! The highlights of the trip were... #1, of course, the farewell where Eric spoke wonderfully and Alexa sang a beautiful song, #2 the night before the farewell when we went to their stake production of Beauty and the Beast where James was main stage crew and Jan conducted the orchestra pit, #3 running an playing with our cousins, #4 flying papre airplanes #5 going on long walks as a family outside #6 the Tulips in everyone's yards and #7 playing games and building things at Grandma's (then taking pictures to show her because she was ill in bed.)

Welcome to GiGanToR!

For those of you that will never actually make it out to our new home to see what we’ve

accomplished.
I use the word

accomplished
because it was a real task!
Here it is!!

A bit of history first…we purchased a foreclosed home for a smokin’ deal. “Why such a great deal?” you ask? Although it was in much better shape than quite of few of the other foreclosures we had seen it was in desperate need of a make-over. The previous owners had 7, count them, S-E-V-E-N indoor Labrador Retrievers. (And yes, one was a puppy.) Carpets had been ripped to shreds at every seam, base boards had been treated as teething toys, heaven only knows what the myriads of stains on ALL of the carpets were. However, trying to be reasonable...were just going to re-floor the house. Then some good friends told us of a home that they had purchased and only re-floored to get rid of the “doggies”. Their advice was that once the “new carpet” smell had subsided, the “doggie” smell returned. HOW? WHY? Dog oil, on the walls. You know, it’s not so strange, humans have greasy hair too! Hence, the paining of the entire almost 4, 000 square feet of Gigantor!

I will not try and frighten you by the telling of how much dog hair we actually vacuumed out of the house, or how the said hair was found in the uncanniest places (every singe kitchen cabinet and drawer), or how when we pulled out the old carpet the hair had worked it’s way under the old carpet and pad to find a new home, or how horribly stinky, doggie, disgusting the house smelled. But I WILL tell you of how we vacuumed, bleached, cleaned, bleached, painted, bleached, and worked our tail ends off…did I mention the bleach? To sanitize our now beautiful, clean, doggie free home! And if you know me at all, you know that when I mention the bleach I do not mean it lightly...every square inch of the house…including the walls and windows...bleached and beautifully clean!!!

Reprimanded

I'm Baaaack!
I have been reprimanded by Monte (the Senior version) and a few of YOU for not blogging since the move. I tried to explain that I was waiting for the paint jobs to be finished on the house but he reminded me that there is more to life than the new house…I need reminding…

So here goes!

With so many eggs to hide sometimes we get creative…

At least he's got the general idea...one egg, not bad for a first timer!

DyiNg tHe EgGs-really killing 'em

EaSTeR EggS
We died eggs at Grandpa’s with some of our Arnett cousins (after words grandpa took us to Dairy Queen for treats…it was chilly outside to be eating ice cream, but we were with Grandpa so no one but mom noticed the cold.

Adele, Reid, Bailee, Monte Birk, Grandpa, Clyde, Seth, Robert Jr.

This is Robert Jr.'s creation...
the "Aunt Diane color challenged egg"
I very non-politically correctly call it the racist egg...
no matter where he put it or how much color and vinegar he put on it, the blasted thing would not change colors! (By the way, it's my egg because of the hideous picture he drew of me on it!)
