School is OUT!!

WoOT! WoOT!!
YiPpY!! After a week of Seth and Clyde's tears because, "We won't be in Kindergarten anymore!" and they were "going to miss our friends SO MUCH!" It has finally come. Our house hold now consists of 1 - 3rd grader and 2 - 1st graders!!
To celebrate they each invited one friend (from school) to the park where we met up with a ton of our church friends for sub sandwiches, chips, soda, cookies, capri-suns, water balloons...you name it! What a party!!

Once we were good and hot the party came to our house for water guns and a PoOL PaRtY!!

Kindergarten Musical

Clyde and Seth

I absolutely love watching these brethren sing and dance! They love music in every way and are so excited to show what they have learned. The songs were so fun! Kindergarten doesn't perform for the entire school as the other grades do so we pulled Monte Birk from class to watch his brothers on the stage.

Jackson wanted to climb on the stage with them today. Someday Jack...someday... Seth and Miss Shawnee Bruce Clyde and Mrs Tracy Trillo I am so grateful to be a stay at home mom so I can support my guys in their wonderful activities!

recital time!

Monte Birk did not have a piano recital this year. He DID however, play his piano piece in the school talent show! Monte and I were in NYC but I was at the dress rehearsal cheering him on and a good friend went and video taped it for us!

Seth and Clyde also had their Let's Play Music! recital a few weeks ago. It was so exciting to be graduating from the Yellow Indians!

Baseball ends

Monte Birk (blue hat) and the Cardinals

Great Season PR Sports

You've done it again!
Seth and Clyde (back row #3 & 4) and the Pirates
Each of my boys made at least one solid hit in their final games of the season. Monte Birk got a few good outs while fielding 3rd base and Clyde and Seth made some good stops of the ball in the field as well. They all ran into home base and feel great about their skills in Baseball this year. Then we celebrated the end of the season with a quick trip to Krispy Kreme Doughnuts - YUM!

LeMonAde!

Monte Birk found himself in a situation where he owed his brothers and I a little money. He decided that the best way to earn some on his own was to put on a lemonade stand. (Something he has wanted to do for a long time.) Our street gets little to no through traffic and so we drove until we found what looked like an ideal corner to set up. He called a few friends but none were available to 'assist' so Mom it was. (On a hot AZ summers day - I told him I'd give him 1 hour of my time at which point we'd call it a day and pack up for home.)

At first people slowed but didn't stop. I coached him on stepping away from the table to smile and wave at the cars. "MOM! That's embarrassing!" "Well, Bud, that's how you get the customers." Timidly he got away from the table and began to wave...1...2...3...customers...4...5...6...customers - all purchasing more than one cup of Lemonade.
It didn't even take an hour to empty our 2 large pitchers of Lemonade that day and he walked away with $9. He paid us all back and was left with $1.25 of his own. With that much success we talked business and next time? He's paying for his own supplies so he can really learn what a free and clear profit is.

Holding up the Wall

What is this?

And don't give the obvious answer of Monte in a McDonalds in New York City.

Here, take a closer look.

This is my cute boyfriend that I found holding up the wall, just like this, in various buildings and restaurants about 10 times a day in NYC. There are people that could create a wonderful itinerary for touring NYC. I could give you something far more valuable...a map of each public restroom in the vicinity of just about every landmark building in NYC. The perk that comes from being 8 months Pregnant in NYC is that I had something like the Disney "fast pass" to the restroom. Even the ones that aren't for "public use" The phrase I heard more than once or twice when asking if there was a restroom I could use was, "Oh honey for you there is."

That said, did I mention that Monte and I stole away for a quick trip to NYC before baby boy #5 arrives in 4 weeks? Well, we did and it was awesome! My recommendation is if you're planning a trip there get some good walking shoes and be prepared to experience the whole thing, top to bottom, high to low, subways, taxis, back room purchases (so funny!), Little Italy, Chinatown, tours, Broadway shows - in short just Blow the Wad and enjoy it.

We did~
